About Me

Ending Poverty Isn’t Impossible—It’s a Choice

Too many people believe poverty is just the way things are. I don’t. Poverty is not inevitable—it’s a policy choice. And I’m running for Congress because I believe we can choose differently.

In Texas’s 30th District, over 16% of our residents live below the poverty line—higher than the state and national averages. That’s not a statistic. That’s our neighbors. That’s families making impossible choices every day: rent or food, medicine or gas.

I’m not running to become a celebrity or to build a brand. I’m running to end poverty, not just reduce it—end it.

This means:

  • Affordable housing that doesn’t trap people in cycles of rent and debt.
  • Living wages and workforce development to create real pathways to stability.
  • Reforming our justice system, because poverty and incarceration are tied together.
  • Health care that doesn’t bankrupt families, and education that prepares every child for the future.
  • Guaranteed income pilots and support for small business ownership in underserved communities.

My plan is bold, but it’s not a fantasy. It’s rooted in policy, community organizing, and common sense. Ending poverty won’t happen overnight—but with smart solutions and collective will, we can do what generations before us only dreamed of.

This is about dignity. This is about justice. This is about us.
